UN: Vatican tortures, rapes children (NPR)

Ashley Wells, Pat Macpherson, Pfc. Sandoval, Wisdom Quarterly; Sylvia Poggioli (NPR, 5-6-14)
Yeah, we molest kids, of course. We even make "sacred" art about it for our churches.

UN grills Vatican officials on sex abuse
Maybe I still run things in secret. *Giggle*
A U.N. committee has found that the systematic sex abuse [of children] by Catholic priests in the Vatican's corporate body (the Roman Catholic Church) amounts to torture.

["Torture" is defined by international treaties to which the Holy See is apparently a signatory, or the court might not have any say over their crimes against humanity.

Small "country" but very, very rich
The Vatican is not only Roman Catholic HQ. It is also a tiny city-state independent of Italy and Rome. Vatican City is its capital. It has massive cash, art, and gold reserves in its own corrupt banking system and private financial institutions. It has a tiny population of roughly 1,000 elite clerics and Swiss guards, and a CEO whose rotating position is popularly called "the papacy," which Pope Francis currently fronts, and which Benedict may still run the way Dick Cheney ran the U.S. while G.W. Bush shook hands and acted a bumbling fool too simple to be much of a threat.]

At the Holy See's first appearance before the committee, experts on the panel peppered the representative with questions. On Tuesday, the Vatican has a chance to respond. LISTEN

PHOTOS: "#my NYPD" (police state on Twitter)

F your dolly Lama, motherfather, you don't block crosstown traffic on my beat! (RB/T)

What's this, tainted baby food?! Hell no, b_tch, you're goin to be occupying my nightstick!
"I saw a movie once...only the police and military had guns. It was called 'Schindler's List.'"

Need a mammogram, b_tch? #myNYPD has you covered!Yeah you do, you Occupy sl*t. Comply, wh**e, comply! Forget Obamacare! Fusv3WhiRZआनिल् (@guru0509) 4-22-14.
(OS) Think we're kidding, think we're exaggerating? Occupy protesters in the U.S. were kicked, punched, maced, assaulted, arrested, and falsely charged with the very crimes committed on them all with impunity for speaking up against corporate and police corruption.

Lemme at 'im, let me at 'im, I'll kill the muthaf*ther! Die, you dirty hippie, die!

You're a bad man, a very bad man. All  of you are bad men. Get out of here!

Occupy police brutality
An NYPD (New York City Police Department) campaign to get Twitter users to share photos of themselves with officers got a massive response -- but not the kind the department had in mind.

Instead of citizens posing with friendly cops, the #MyNYPD tag became the top trending hashtag on Twitter with thousands of photos of police brutality, Occupy Wall Street arrests, and headlines about unarmed citizens being brutalized by police and even shot, reports the NY Daily News.

Hey, [n-word], move and you die! Break his arm, break the f'n [subhuman mongrel]'s arm! Free massages from my NYPD. What do YOUR police offer? #MyNYPD (@OccupyWallStNYC)

USA/MIC/CIA trained Egypt
[See plenty of shocking examples of the impending police state at the Daily Dot. Our future was evident at this year's Boston Marathon, a year after launching in the false flag operation that was the Boston Marathon "terrorist" bombing of 2013, when police shut down an entire U.S. metropolitan area, acted on Martial law, and rolled out a paramilitary door-to-door "search" for cultivated-and-planted suspects, which suspended civil liberties as citizens were forced to hunker down (Newspeak: "shelter in place") so as not to be shot, arrested, or disappeared in the crossfire.] More
I would sooner worship a pharaoh as trust the Egyptian paramilitary police.

Senate hypocrisy: NSA-lover blasts CIA (video)

Wisdom Quarterly; Nermeen Shaikh, DemocracyNow.org, 3/12/14; Phillip Muldari (KPFA)
DARPA created Net for military, uses social media to spy. NSA helps steal our nude images.

The spat between the CIA and its congressional "overseers" (actually overlookers since they overlook so much misbehavior) has intensified after California Senator Dianne Feinstein took to the Senate floor to directly accuse the CIA of spying on her overisight committee.

Why was the CIA conducting homeland spying in violation of its charter? It was in an effort to undermine a probe of the CIA’s torture and rendition program by Chairperson Feinstein's Senate committee, the Senate Intelligence Committee.
Is the CIA going to brainwash me again? - What, Feinstein?
Its report has yet to be released but reportedly documents extensive illegal abuses and a cover-up by CIA officials. Feinstein says the CIA broke the law by secretly removing more than 900 documents from computers used by panel investigators. She also accuses the CIA of intimidation in its request of an FBI inquiry of the panel’s conduct.

America tortures with CIA help and cover-ups
Current CIA Director John Brennan rejects Feinstein’s allegations. Meanwhile, former National Security Agency (NSA) contractor Edward Snowden has weighed in by accusing Feinstein of hypocrisy for criticizing alleged CIA spying on U.S. senators but condoning government surveillance of ordinary private citizens.

Democracy Now! hosted a roundtable discussion with three guests: former FBI Agent Mike German, former CIA Analyst Ray McGovern, and Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Julia Angwin, author of the new book, Dragnet Nation: A Quest for Privacy, Security, and Freedom in a World of Relentless Surveillance. Opposing SEX, promoting violence (video)

"Lone Survivor" - a Hollywood war glorification propaganda reel about the US invasion and occupation of Afghanistan based but not telling the actual story of Operation Red Wing.

Stop resisting me, stop resisting me (BS)
Torrance, Los Angeles LAPD Officer Brian McGee will not be charged for attempting to murder a white surfer after ramming his vehicle during the dramatic "manhunt" for accused black ex-LAPD Officer Dorner, who allegedly went on a rampage against other members of the LAPD.

Better wrong doing right than right doing wrong
That is the allegation, but we will never know because Dorner was summarily executed by fellow police who turned SoCal into an obvious police state. (Usually it is just a covert one).
Israeli war criminal Sharon dies (TYT)
This was done to prevent an adequate investigation that may have turned up damning evidence against the Department. "Shoot first, ask questions later." You may not get many answers but, hey, that's how it goes when working in a violent culture of killer cops.

(TYT) Ana Kasparian and John Iadarola break down some criminal police
Citizens can now police the police (ACLU)
Fullerton, Orange County Officer Joe Wolfe, who helped fellow gang members bash in the face of a schizophrenic homeless man before beating him to death, had all charges against him dropped after fellow killers Manny Ramos and Jay Cicinelli were acquitted during their separate trial.

Tampa, Florida's retired policeman Curtis Reeves, former Chief of Security for Busch Gardens, murdered a man for having the audacity to text before the movie "Lone Survivor" (see above).

Said it about health plans, said it about NSA
He also shot a woman after popcorn was allegedly thrown in his direction, which may have touched his large toe. Reeves says that this gave him the right to shoot the couple, given that he could (later) say he felt "threatened" and thereby go scot-free for his crimes.

That's funny! NSA surveillance? "If you like your freedom, you can keep your freedom" is the best summary of President Obama's false speech about "reforming" USA/NSA spying.

The precept against killing
Buddha and aum (Brooke Montes/flickr)
Our world is plagued by conflicts, economic and ethnic, racial and religious, political and ideological, planned and carried out by the military-industrial complex.

"Terrorism" serves as the great pretext to launch all manner of state-sponsored terror thanks to the CIA, NSA, NSC, FBI, DHS, and other spies.

Israel's illegal Jewish settlements (DN)
Wars, "low-level kinetic actions" (a euphemism for bloody battles, invasions, and massacres), and genocides are more than just a looming threat. They are an active reality all over the globe.

No sex, please, just killing (govexec.com)
The threat of nuclear weapons being used causes worldwide anxiety. The manufacture and sale of weaponry is a thriving industry. So are there wars because there are weapons, or are there weapons because there are  wars? Who manufactures industrial-scale conflicts?

Los Angeles Sheriff leaving office

Pfc. Sandoval, Ashley Wells, CC Liu, Wisdom Quarterly; Los Angeles Times
Did Baca foster a culture of racism, sexism, anti-semitism? There was no anti-semitism.

Bye-bye, Baca! Shot yourself in the foot or the
Los Angeles' lead torturer of those being held for trial in the Los Angeles jail system, Sheriff Lee Baca, is baling out. He was set to run for a fifth term in a position where the incumbent wins most of the time. But on the night of Jan. 6th, it was being announced that he would be stepping down. Speculation was that he would be charged with major felonies -- as 18 of his deputies were recently arrested in an FBI investigation of abuses in the Sheriff's office -- and Baca did not want to be bogged down with a losing reelection campaign. His vague excuses for getting out as fast as he can, after two week's notice, is reminiscent of the former Turncoat-Pope (Benedict) avoiding arrest on molestation cover-up and major bank fraud charges. Did the FBI cut a deal with him in secret? "Get out of Dodge and we'll look the other way. Otherwise, there's a coach leaving at noon; be under it"? It's possible. Disgraced Baca is getting out while the gettin's good.

I didn't murder them myself. And I quit! (LAT)
Only he knows what he's hiding. And only he knows how many detainees awaiting their day in court, mentally ill convicts, non mentally ill prisoners, or the growing number of innocents pressured to agree to plea deals to avoid unfair prosecution and draconian sentences were tortured, summarily executed (in murders labelled "suicides" or "accidents" after excessive force beatings).

There was one time when the new Sheriff's deputies, all of whom begin their careers as jail guards, were being too sloppy about concealing their beatings of suspects and detainees. The Sheriff was pressed, and he said there were cameras throughout the jail. They were later found in a derelict office still in boxes. Oops, the Sheriff said. That is the kind of leadership unincorporated L.A. has been suffering under in police executions ("officer-involved shootings") and jail torture cases. Will he really retire quietly basting in remorse? Or can the world expect to see him picked up by a global "security" firm like former LAPD Chief Bratton, who then went on to be rehired by the NYPD?

"The Superior Human?" (film)

Are you going to kill us?
Do animals have feelings? Do they have an vital place in the world, or any essential right to protection? It's "speciesism," a term formed from racism/sexism with regard to nonhuman species. In "The Superior Human?" the welfare of animals, and by extension of humans and the planet, is explored. Surely all life evolves and/or is co-created for a reason and stands to serve a function higher than human waste and abuse. Let's be protective stewards for all creatures and plant forms. In that way, we would save ourselves and others.

“The Superior Human? is a superior documentary exposing the arrogance of humankind and the destructive results of its insistence on domination. If Man can’t conquer nature, he destroys it. A wake-up call for saving our planet and ourselves.”
- Clarke Poole, former Assistant Mayor of Eagle River, Michigan

“I am flabbergasted and appalled that animals feeling pain was proved as late as 1989. We have so far to go before this is a ‘modern’ world, know what I mean?”
- Top voted comment from user: EllenRebecca3

“It is unbelievable some humans actually need scientific proof of animals feelings and intelligence. For me it is obvious it is there. However, some times it would be nice to have proof of the existence of intelligence and emotions in some humans.”

Just five more minutes! (TAV)
“We all evolve to become optimal for our environmental needs. Humans are bad by human standards, ask your dog for his take. How about indoctrina[tion] methods of subjugation? A complete disregard for the other? Too much time on our hands? The purpose of the documentary was not to say humans are not important or of greater importance but to allow for the equality among all species on Earth. There is no hierarchy of species, but an interdependence between all sentient beings, plant, and other life forms.” More
