Israel kills dozens more in Rafah
The United States [minus our shadow government reveling in profits for the military-industrial complex] and the United Nations have condemned Israel after an airstrike killed 10 people near the entrance of a U.N. school sheltering Palestinian civilians.

The school was reportedly being used as a shelter for about 3,000 people, most of them terrified children. It was the second illegal targeting of a U.N. school by Israel in less than a week. It tried to pin its first attack on Hamas to deflect international criticism but was conclusively shown to be the culprit, making Israel a "terrorist state" once again. And it was the seventh such crime against humanity over the course of Israel’s offensive war on Gaza.

Music for Judeo-Christian soldiers
Jewish American youth aspire to go to Israel to kill Palestinians, fly safe missions as glorious, state-sponsored Air Force terrorists, defend their other country from the unruly natives. It has in just 50 years packed the indigenous population into two teeming camps in which they are concentrated, open air prisons, non-Jewish neighborhoods, ghettos called the West Bank and the Gaza Strip where they are fish in a barrel to be shot at. Wonder what they listen to on their iPads as they kill, Florida's Cannibal Corpse maybe? "They think they know who I am/ All they know is I love to kill/ Face down, dead on the ground/ Find me before another is found/ I come alive in the darkness [night raids]/ Left murdered and nameless/ Dead, unburied, and rotten/ Half eaten by insects.../ They're all dead, they're all dead/ They're all dead, by [our invasion]... It felt so good to kill/ I took their lives away/ Seven dead, lying rotten/ Unburied victims their naked bodies putrefy [and get eaten by animals]/... They're all dead, they're all dead/ They're all dead, by [our invasion]/ I come alive in the darkness/ Left murdered and nameless/ Dead, unburied, and rotten/ Half eaten by insects..."

The coordinates of the school were reportedly communicated to the Israel "Defense" Force no fewer than 33 times, the last time just an hour before the shelling. That is, there is no way Israel did not know exactly what they were targeting and shelling in violation of international law and Geneva Conventions.

Shortly after Israel’s attack on Sunday, the U.S. State Department issued a statement saying: "The United States is appalled by today’s disgraceful shelling outside an UNRWA school." U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon characterized the attack as "a moral outrage and a criminal act." [Will PM Netanyahu be dragged to the Hague? Not if U.S. politicians and CIA officials can help it.]

The number of Palestinians murdered by Israel in Gaza has topped 1,800 as the Israeli offensive enters its 28th day. On yesterday [Sunday, Aug. 3, 2014], at least 10 people were killed when Israel illegally shelled another U.N. school shelter for Palestinian civilians.

Why kill Gazans when you can kill Gaia?
The U.S. has officially called the attack "disgraceful," while U.N. Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon condemned it as a "moral outrage and a criminal act." It was the seventh U.N. school hit since Israel’s offensive began. The U.N., meanwhile, is warning of a "rapidly unfolding" health crisis in Gaza as large parts of the territory had their power and running water taken out by targeted Israeli strikes, and around 400,000 are now displaced by Israel's war of aggression on its segregated indigenous population.

More than 200 Palestinians have been killed since a 72-hour ceasefire collapsed on Friday [Aug. 1, 2014]. Over the weekend, the Israeli government admitted that a soldier it had used as war propaganda by reporting him [Hadar Goldin] as "captured and taken hostage by Hamas" was actually killed in a battle as he attacked badly outgunned Hamas resisters.

Earlier today, Israel announced a unilateral seven-hour truce ("pause") in most of the Gaza Strip, except for Rafah, where Israel has concentrated its bombardment. Palestinians have already accused Israel of breaking its own ceasefire by launching deadly attacks on the Shati refugee camp, another crime against humanity. DN! goes live to Gaza City to speak with its correspondent Mohammed Omer, an award-winning Palestinian journalist who has family in Rafah. More

Prof. Postol estimates that the Iron Dome, which is partially built by U.S. corporate war-profiteers Raytheon, intercepts just 5 percent of rockets fired at Israel.

World media offers glimpses of Israel's crimes

"Only stones remain": civilian Gaza Strip in ruins after Israeli attack
Thumbnail image for In Gaza, a funeral for the two-state solution?
Analysis: Israel’s Prime Minister [and chief CIA-sponsored war criminal] Benjamin Netanyahu has claimed its war is proof Israel can’t accept an independent Palestinian state.
This year there was no EID in Gaza (Palestine, which Israel has invaded and claimed for its state and has now set out to kill 1.8 million inhabitants trapped by Israeli and Israeli-controlled Egyptian borders), but there was aparthEID.

PLO says factions offer 24-hour Gaza truce
Civilian murders in the "Gaza Strip" section of Israel may amount to war crimes, U.N. human rights chief says
At least 100 Palestinians were murdered overnight by Israeli bombardment that targeted and shut down territory’s only power plant.

A senior Palestinian Liberation Organization official said Tuesday [July 29] that all Palestinian factions have offered a 24-hour cease-fire in Gaza, but minutes later Hamas appeared to reject the plan. The possible development came after a night of heavy Israeli shelling that shut down the [world's largest open air, concentration camp]’s only power plant.
Yasser Abed Rabbo, a PLO executive committee member, said that all Palestinian factions had agreed on the offer and that a unified delegation had been sent to Cairo to talk about the next steps.

"The factions, including Hamas and [Islamic] Jihad, are prepared for a 24-hour truce, and Israel will be held the responsible if it doesn't accept the truce as well," he said. "There is a proposal from the U.N. to extend the truce to 72 hours. And we look favorably upon that."

Obama’s insensitive iftar comments irk American Muslims

But Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri denied that the group agreed to the truce, with the Palestinian news agency Maan quoting him as saying that "Yasser Abed Rabbu's statement that Hamas agreed to a cease-fire for 24 hours is not true and has nothing to do with the resistance's stand."

"We will consider a cease-fire when Israel commits to it with international guarantees," Abu Zuhri added. Hamas has said its conditions for a truce include Israel's ending its siege of Gaza and the release of long-serving political prisoners that was agreed to in a 2012 cease-fire but not carried out completely.

Israel has said it will not comment until Hamas officially presents the offer.

Word of the possible cease-fire came after Israel's military continued to pound the Gaza Strip overnight, killing at least 100 people in assaults launched from air, land and sea after midnight, according to Palestinian officials.

Five families were almost entirely wiped out in Khan Younis and Rafah, according to reports by Israeli news website Haaretz. For many Gaza residents, it was the heaviest night of bombing since the military offensive against the territory began three weeks ago.

Gaza's only power plant was shut down overnight because of a large fire caused by Israeli shelling, Palestinian officials said. More

Israel bombs Gaza’s only rehab hospital: staff forced to evacuate patients after shelling

(IA) The War Around Us recently nabbed the best feature documentary award at the Newport Beach Film Festival. It profiles Israel's 2008-2009 invasion of Gaza through the eyes of two young English correspondents working for Al-Jazeera (the only major media outlet willing to work in Gaza and show the other side of Israel's war crimes that the very calculated Israeli war machine and public relations campaign does not want shown to the world), Ayman Mohyeldin and Sherine Tadros.
  • What is Gaza? It is at once the largest open-air prison, making Israel the largest jailer in the world, even beyond the USA and China, and the most densely populated urban city in the world (almost two million detainees).
  • According to "The Lab" the real reason for these atrocities, crimes against humanities, and Israel's incremental genocide  is to test American-made and provided weaponry. Israel only acts with American aid, permission, and direction. the purpose is ethnic cleaning with whatever pretext comes to hand, such as the "kidnapping of three Israeli settler youth" from yet another illegal Israeli settlement.
Through their eyes, viewers get a glimpse into the Israeli incursion on the 25-by-7-mile Gaza strip. Israel's Jewish military (with compulsory military service demanded of all Jews of a certain age, including women but exempting ultra-Orthodox Jews, to gain Israeli citizenship) killed nearly 1,400 Palestinians [89 children by Israel's own "official" count, which is to say those it could not deny or obscure] and 13 Israelis (four from friendly fire).
