As a consequence of climate chaos -- brought about by geoengineering, weather modification, and the military-industrial complex's aerosol dispersion/chemtrail programs now extended worldwide -- Nepal and Los Angeles have been flooded by unexpected rain bursts. The downpours, following periods of drought conditions that kill off supportive vegetation that usually holds the ground in place, caused landslides that buried many alive and led to control efforts.

There was no chance of finding any of the more than 150 people believed to have been buried by a massive landslide in northern Nepal, an official said.

Rescuers had recovered only eight bodies since the landslide early Saturday blocked a mountain river, causing the water to form a lake that was threatening to burst and sweep several villages. Rainfall Sunday hampered search attempts.

"We have no chance of fiding any of the missing people alive under this pile of debris," said Yadav Prasad Loirala, who heads the government's Department of Natural Disaster Management. "We have names of 159 people who ar3e believed to be missing and buried, but there could be even more people."

Truck sits in mud after flash flood swept LA

Northern foothills of Los Angeles - A thunderstorm that lasted only about an hour and dropped more than 4 inches of rain Sunday [after sprinkling on Saturday night] from Glendora to Oak Glen and Angeles Crest Highway near Wrightwood.

It caused flash floods, mudslides, evacuations, washed away cars, created massive debris flows that choked roadways, stranded residents and campers, and caused at least four people to be rescued from surging floodwaters, law and fire enforcement agencies said.

 

The storm’s fury did the most damage in the Mt. Baldy area and the community of Forest Falls in San Bernardino County.

 

In the Angeles National Forest, a rock slide covered all lanes of the Angeles Crest Highway at mile marker 66 near Little Jimmy Road west of Wrightwood around 4:15 pm, and a smaller slide was reported a few minutes later on San Gabriel Canyon Road at Crystal Lake Road above Glendora, according to the California Highway Patrol.

 

A slide near the Mt. Baldy Fire Station, reported at 5:18 pm, closed Mt. Baldy Road, the CHP reported.

 

The National Weather Service issued a flash flood warning through 7:00 pm Sunday in the eastern San Gabriel Mountains.
 

Four to five people and dog became stranded by raging floodwater and were unable to reach their vehicle, Sgt. Rebecca Rodriguez of the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s San Dimas Station said. They were airlifted to safety by a sheriff’s helicopter about 5:30 pm, she said.

 

An overturned vehicle was found near the intersection of Bear Creek and Mt. Baldy roads, but no one was inside, Rodriguez said.

 

In San Bernardino County, flash flooding washed out parts of Forest’s Falls main road, causing evacuations, and one resident had to be saved by swift water rescuers, authorities said. More

Host Rob Simone welcomed two experts on Saturday night, Dane Wigington and Scott Stevens, for a discussion on how the Earth's weather systems are being deliberately manipulated and used to disrupt the world's climate, rain patterns, snowfall, seasons, ability to grow food, and more.

 
Beyond the damage that tampering with the atmosphere has on the environment, Wigington declares that weather manipulation, conducted by the military-industrial complex (MIC) via clandestine programs such as HAARP and chemtrail spraying, also constitutes an "all out assault on life on Earth."

To that end, he contends that the rise in deaths caused by respiratory illnesses as well as the explosion in both autism and Alzheimer's disease coincide with the emergence of chemtrail contamination.

On a broader level, Wigington suggests that natural disasters, such as hurricanes, typhoons, and earthquakes, are being created by programs like HAARP as a way of allowing the United States to gain a foothold in foreign territories under the cover of "humanitarian" relief. But this is actually covert war. He points to Buddhist Thailand refusing to let the U.S. build an airbase in their country in 2011 then subsequently being afflicted/attacked with record flooding shortly thereafter. (The same happened with much worse consequences for Buddhist Japan, which was threatened then hit with quakes, a tsunami, and the subsequent nuclear disaster at Fukushima.

In addition, Wigington theorizes that Middle East nations are subjected to intense droughts as a means of destabilizing unfriendly-to-the-West regimes the U.S./MIC wishes to topple. "This whole situation is such a tangled web of corruption and insanity," he laments, noting that those who control the weather are using their power and knowledge to benefit financially from the hardships they create.

Joining the program in the second half , meteorologist Scott Stevens talked about the origins of secret weather modification and the agenda behind it. According to Stevens, the desire to control the weather arose in the Soviet Union at the advent of the Cold War as the Russians were desperate to gain a military advantage over the U.S. This experimenting with geoengineering, Stevens explains, culminated in the mid-1970's where the U.S. experienced bizarre weather conditions such as snow in Miami.
 
Based on Stevens' research, the U.S. Army revealed this secret weather war to Pres. Reagan in 1984, which resulted in the creation of the U.S.'s Strategic Defense Initiative as well as America's entering the dirty game of geoengineering.
 

Shuttle shoot down using weather

Stevens also claims that the disasters that befell the Challenger and Columbia space shuttles were not  accidents. What were they instead? "They were shoot downs," spawned from the ongoing international battle for control of the environment. Stevens alleges that, at the time of the Challenger launch, there were Soviet ships off the coast of Cape Canaveral that insisted on being in the area for reasons that remain unknown.
 
However, he added, "72 seconds later, they blew the O-ring, and we lost the shuttle." Regarding the Columbia re-entry explosion, he cites an explosive photograph taken by an amateur astronomer that shows a "right-angled, corkscrew lightning strike" that intercepted the path of the shuttle and caused it to disintegrate. "One from whom a person learns the Dharma [the Buddha's teachings] should be venerated the way the devas venerate Inda, their leader [Sanskrit Indra, another name for Sakka, the king of the devas.] A teacher of great learning, thus venerated, will explain the Dharma, being well-disposed towards a learner (hearer).

"Having paid attention and considered it, a wise person, practicing according to Dharma, becomes learned, intelligent, and accomplished by associating diligently with such a skilled teacher.

 

"But by following an inferior and foolish teacher who has not gained (fine) understanding of the Dharma and is envious of others, one will approach death without having comprehended the Dharma and unrelieved of doubt.

"If a person going down into a river, swollen and swiftly flowing, is carried away by the current -- how can that person help others across?
 
"Even so, one who has not comprehended the Dharma, has not paid attention to the meaning as expounded by the learned, being without knowledge and unrelieved of doubt -- how can one make others understand?
 
"But if (the person at the river) knows the method and is skilled and wise, by boarding a strong boat equipped with oars and a rudder, can, with its help, set others across.

"Even so, one who is experienced and has a well-trained mind/heart, who is learned and dependable [Commentary: has a character which remains unperturbed by the vicissitudes of life], clearly knowing, can help others to understand who are willing to listen and ready to receive [possessing the supporting conditions for attaining the Paths and Fruits of stream-winning, once-returning, non-returning, and final sainthood (arhatship)].
 
"Surely, therefore, one should associate with a good person who is wise and learned.

"By understanding the meaning of what one has learned and practicing accordingly one who has Dharma-experience [Commentary: one who has fully understood or experienced the truth, the dharma, by penetrating to its essence through the practice taught by a wise teacher] attains (supreme) happiness [the transcendental happiness of the Paths, Fruits, and of nirvana]."

Thus have I heard. On one occasion the Blessed One was staying near Savatthi at Jeta's Grove in Anathapindika's monastery. Then a certain deva, in the third watch of the night, filled the grove with her radiance as she went to the Blessed One.

Arriving, she bowed, stood respectfully to one side, and said to him, "Tell me, dear sir, how you crossed over the flood."
 
"I crossed over the flood without pushing forward and without staying in place" [without overexertion, without slacking, but persistently striving for balance or "unestablished," see Ud 8.1 and related references at SN 12.38 and SN 12.64].

• Translator's note: This discourse opens the Connected Discourses with a paradox. The Commentary states that the Buddha teaches the deva in terms of the paradox in order to subdue her pride. To give this paradox some context, read other passages from the Pali canon that discuss right effort.

"But how, dear sir, did you cross over the flood without pushing forward and without staying in place?"
 
"When I pushed forward, I was whirled about. When I stayed in place, I sank. So I crossed over the flood without pushing forward and without staying in place."

"At long last see I a true Brahmin, fully liberated, who without pushing forward and without staying in place has crossed over the entanglements of the world."

 

This is what that deva said. The teacher approved. And realizing that "the teacher has approved of me," she bowed, respectfully circumambulated him -- keeping him to her right -- and vanished then and there.

Thus have I heard: Once the Bhagava [the Bhagwan, the Blessed One, the Buddha] was residing at Anathapindika's Jeta's Grove Monastery in Savatthi. Then, soon after the middle watch of the night, a certain deva of exceeding beauty approached him, illuminating the entire grove. After paying homage, she stood at a suitable place, and addressed him:
 
"Sir, how did you cross the flood?" [Note 1]
 
"Friend, by not remaining still and by not putting forth strenuous effort, I crossed the flood."
 
"But, sir, in what way did you cross over while neither remaining still nor putting forth strenuous effort?"
 
"Friend, if I remain still, I sink [2]; if I put forth strenuous effort, I drift [3]. Thus, by neither remaining still nor putting forth strenuous effort, I crossed the flood."
 
"In the sentient world, only after a long time do I see one in whom defilements are extinct [4], one in whom defilements have been extinguished, who neither remaining still nor putting forth strenuous effort crossed the ocean of craving."
 
Thus said the deva. The teacher approved. Having noted the approval of the teacher, the deva paid respect then respectfully withdrew and vanished form there.
 

FOOTNOTES 1. the flood (ogha), metaphorically, the deluge of craving, wrong views, and ignorance which keep one submerged in the round of rebirth, death, and suffering (samsara). The four floods are: (i) kama-ogha: strong attachment to the five sensual pleasures; (ii) bhava-ogha: strong attachment to rebirth in the Fine Material Sphere, in the Immaterial Sphere, or to the attainment of meditative absorptions (jhanas), strong karma that leads to rebirth in these spheres; (iii) ditthi-ogha: the 62 wrong views (See Brahmajala Sutta, DN 1); (vi) avijja-ogha: ignorance of the liberating Truth.
2. If I remain still, I sink: Staying in the midst of sensual pleasures, making no efforts to break free of them, one sinks to the tower realms. Or in another sense, making no effort to get rid of demerit, one sinks to the depths of the four miserable states of rebirth.
3. If I put forth strenuous effort, I drift: Striving on the path purification from defilements through self-mortification/severe austerities sends one adrift in samsara. Or in another sense, even if one performs meritorious deeds while craving for rebirth in the higher realms of existence, such efforts merely bring mundane merit and one drifts along in samsara.
4. One in whom defilements are extinct is a true "Brahmin" meaning either a buddha or an arhat. The brahma, although designated as a deva in this discourse, had known Kassapa Buddha. Since the passing of Kassapa Buddha many aeons passed before Gautama Buddha appeared in this world.

Some climate deniers have a point. Not all global warming is due to human activity. But some is. We can hardly stand by as the Koch brothers and other corporate elites profit from the status quo.

One famous climate denier, Coast to Coast's host George Noory, recently explained that no one wants to see the environment polluted, but that is different from the climate chaos we are experiencing. No, Noory, it is not.

Is anyone coming to the rescue this time?

Our pollution is exactly the problem: This is how human activity (cars, grossly inefficient gas combustion engines, oil drilling and spilling, military imperialism, nuclear power and accidents, deforestation, coal mining, tailings, mountain top removal, fires, chemical manufacturing...) is adversely affecting climate or general weather patterns. It is making the planet inhospitable. As creatures die off, ecosystems are disrupted (and as ecosystems are disrupted, creatures die off). We are creatures, earthlings. We are doing more to damage the planet and make the climate chaotic and deadly than any other group of inhabitants.

Ordinary sun spots and flares emanate on a cyclical basis, and Earth's atmosphere used to protect earthlings until the corporate complex found it more profitable to deplete.

Lesser of two evils Al Gore brought attention to the issue with "An Inconvenient Truth."  Sadly, Gore is a billionaire whose family originally made its money from  ranching. Ranching (raising animals for slaughter and human  consumption) is one of the most polluting industries, second only to  automobiles. Gore conveniently left that out of the movie. As Dr. Jane Goodall, famous for her work with primates, has said: Go vegetarian,  and go a long way to saving our environment. That is one thing we can  all do to save the world, while climate deniers keep getting rich by  polluting it more.

They fear losing money, no matter what the cost to the rest of us, the 99%. But Gore and the so-called "liberals," who continue Bush-era policies and plans, have a scheme in mind. Climate deniers are right to say that "carbon credits" and creating a magical marketplace for polluters is a joke and a crime. Carbon is not the problem. It is natural and increasing. Let's check methane, which contributes much more to warming and ozone depleting. We ignore real pollutants (cow exhaust, monocrop farming, permafrost thawing, Fukushima spills, fracking, tar sands, deforestation to make way to raise and slaughter cows, pig farming and slurry ponds...) to focus on distractions. Climate deniers falsely claim volcanoes are to blame, so let's just keep running over a billion gas combustion engines daily (in factory machinery, generators, cars, and so on). Help save the world and the animals on it.
