History's done. Time to repeat. (Fergistan)

Amber Larson, CC Liu, Dhr. Seven, Ashley Wells, Wisdom Quarterly EDITORIAL
Rebirth of the deva Venus, Nascita di Venere, by Boticelli (scentsciences)
.
What life was like...rebirth comes again.
Isn't it strange how things repeat -- how they come around again almost exactly the same but just a little different? On the smallest, most intimate level, that of cittas and kalapas (ultimate mind and matter in Buddhist psychology and physics), what replaces the passing phase of a mind-moment or material-particle is ALMOST identical but not quite.

We would only ever know-and-see this with the light-of-wisdom, the nimitta-light, reviewing the mind door, as Theravada meditation master Pa Auk Sayadaw details. But we would have to build a firm foundation of concentration (jhana, meditative absorption) beneath a canopy of insight (vipassana) to ever come to know that directly. Review the mind-door by the heart and you, too, can see it after developing the requisite skill in meditation.

The seers of ancient pre-India (the Indus Valley Civilization) knew that time and events are cyclical, coming around again. The time that lapses between events, however, is measures in aeons (kalpas), akin to our geological-time of epochs and ages, Jurassic, Neolithic.. But within each grand cycle of time, each Great Aeon, there are smaller cycles looping around sooner.

Karma, or what we as Americans like to refer to as "What comes around goes around," can take a LONG time. Actions and their pleasant and unpleasant consequences can be separated by so much time that it becomes easy to believe that no results are ever coming. The results are always plural when they come, so to say "action with an equal and opposite reaction" is very misleading, as if those who use the Newtonian expression were foolishly trying to be all "scientifical."

Cycles upon senseless cycles
Buddhism is more immediate than science, more open to personal investigation and more convincing to those who know-and-see directly with no one as their authority above personal experience. The Buddha, the Dharma, and the Noble Sangha lead us to freedom from having to rely on any authority for what is true or not true. When one knows-and-sees, there is no question about it. Until we reach the state beyond-training, that of an asekha, we indeed need guides, and there are none better than these three precious gems.

Welcome to Fergistan
Just as it is on that rarefied level so, too, on our human plane: State-sponsored militant terrorist P.M. Bibi Netanyahu has re-ordered his army to attack and kill civilians in the Gaza Strip under the pretext of rooting out Hamas fighters defending Palestinians against an unbearable Israeli/U.S. oppression and a strangling, not to mention illegal -- blockade and occupation. And the same excuses are still used in the mainstream media, never having been put to the test in the Hague, where such things should be adjudicated.

Teargas is deployed after police were fired upon Monday in Ferguson, Mo.

.
And thanks to weather modification and the consequent climate chaos it has caused, there are fires burning all over California. Yosemite has just gone up in flames. Kern County is burning. The Angeles National Forest is ablaze in Tecolote and Shoemaker above Glendora...

Our original mind is like the sky, no center and no limit, infinitely vast, with happiness as our natural state. It has become obscured by clouds, and we identify with them rather than the deep blue boundless sky. These clouds are thoughts and emotions. In Buddhism, meditation is a means of unclouding the mind; it is the antidote to suffering (Natasha C.).

.
Police have murdered another black young man in St. Louis, Missouri. There are more corpses piling up overnight at the hands of Los Angeles police. The "police state" is related to the atrocities being carried out in Israel/Palestine. Israel is staging ground, the weapons dealer, the practical side of how to exterminate an indigenous minority with legal rights to the land. How would we steal the land from indigenous people unless we first put them on reservations then killed them off from every direction? (That's our Western model of empire).

When all seems hopeless, there's hope.
Dead bodies here, fires there, the whole world seems to be going up in flames, so what's the connection? They are connected in a way that cannot be easily understood. The environment reacts and responds to us in a way that can hardly be understood. Seers (rishis), shamans (like shramanas before them), and mystics report that we are connected -- there is no separation -- and what we regard as objective and subjective is not actually accurate. Peace can be generated somewhere by well intentioned meditators sitting somewhere else. It is not a placebo effect because, as in some rigorous prayer studies, the targets do not know the meditation or prayer is going on.

A permanent solution to a temporary problem?
Likewise, the world at large knows when nonpeace is going on, and it reacts. The reactions compound, and we have "natural disasters." How can they be "natural" if we are involved and influencing them? It is because WE are part of nature, not something merely observing it or living in it. We are every bit a part of the environment as what we see "out" there. The objective is subjective as animists would say if they were using such terms, and the subjective is objective to anyone looking at us in our environment. Think peace, practice peace, be peace.

Or sit back and enjoy the show. Did you see that soccer player gently back kick the ball into the net? Not that show (distraction), this one: Once the CIA and other agencies from the White House to the military-industrial complex decided to murder a president. It wasn't the first time they plotted to depose a leader in a very expedient way, but this was a popular young president beloved by most citizens who thought him quite innocent and good. The plans were made, the "lone assassin" patsy selected, and cover up/conspiracy set in motion...

California Spring Break RIOT (video)

Seth Auberon and Ashley Wells, Wisdom Quarterly; TomoNewsUS  DELTOPIA

If they dare disobey, that's great. Riot on! (ES)
ISLA VISTA, Santa Barbara, California - It used to be fun to watch MTV's version of "Spring Break," but then one wakes up to the house party rather than the bikini-clad rap festival of our silly dreams. "It's The Man, it's The Man," you hear other colleges say, like UMass Amherst trying to worship Dionysus/St. Patrick. One never thinks the deadly projectiles, tear gas, and truncheons are going to rain down on people trying to enjoy the sunny coast. Mass arrests, mass incarceration, and we're the lucky ones!

Run! It's safer there with the sharks.
Imagine if we were partying while black. Imagine if we were surfing beyond the breakers? "Quick, shoot him! He might hurt himself!" Imagine if we reached down to pull up our baggy slacks. Imagine if agents of the police state were actively looking for a pretext/excuse. It might not be so funny. Still, what are 100 students doing in jail and many more waiting to be rounded up because of all the spy cams placed along the boardwalk and calls for citizen bystanders to turn in their neighbors with incriminating cellphone camera video. "Police overreacted," witnesses report. "They were looking for a riot to suppress. So they made one." [Everything looks like a nail to a man with a hammer. Every youthful gathering looks like a potential "riot" to paramilitary soldiers with batons, teargas, rifles, handguns, and impunity.]

California kids MEDITATE in school (audio)

Children who are nervous about the new school year can relax by practicing “mindfulness” during anxious moments, researchers say. Experts at Duke University, in Durham, N.C., recommend mindfulness, which is a technique borrowed from [Buddhist] meditation... More

Meditation is even better than I thought!
The Buddha's original teaching of mindfulness (sati and satipatthana) meditation is being used to help businesses, psychology researchers, therapy patients, prisoners, and now very young school children. The option is wonderful, but force would not be.

Punk rock legend Jello Biafra while leading the Dead Kennedys warned about then Gov. Jerry "Moonbeam" Brown, who by coincidence is again the governor of California. His New Age ideas seem finally to have come true.

Gov. Brown and Linda Ronstadt (latimes.com)
"I am Governor Jerry Brown/ My aura smiles and never frowns/ Soon I will be president/ Carter power will soon go away/ I will be fuhrer one day/ I will command all of you/ Your kids will meditate in school/ California Uber Alles.../ Zen fascists will control you/ One hundred percent natural/ You will jog for the master race/ And always wear the happy face/ Close your eyes, can't happen here/ Big Bro on white horse is near..."

Lynda Jean Carter, the U.S. Wonder Woman
The Dead Kennedys, who are from the Bay Area, were very open to Eastern philosophy and religion in their day. But they were not into having a "nanny state" under Gov. Brown.

At that time Brown seemed to be attempting to legislate happiness, health, and well-intentioned progressive New Age views as he dated Latina-American pop singer Linda Ronstadt. (Interestingly, for those who did not know that Linda Ronstadt was Hispanic, it may come as a surprise that her 1970s contemporary "Wonder Woman" Lynda Carter was, too. Bet You Didn't Know They Were Hispanic).

Using mindfulness to teach coping skills

Finally, I'm a good role model
[The Buddha is not being credited directly but] A group of Nystrom Elementary third graders practice a "mindful minute" with a Mindful Life Project instructor. Every Nystrom class gets 20 minutes of mindfulness training per week.

Across California, some schools are experimenting with mindfulness training -- or meditation -- as a way to help students.

Om. Om. Om. Meditating is way cool.
Plenty of school kids deal with a world of emotional problems, but some kids have a whole host of issues greater than usual -- drug abuse in the home, incarcerated parents, or even homelessness.

50th Anniversary: Who shot JFK?

Pfc. Sandoval, Pat Macpherson, Seven, Ashley Wells, Wisdom Quarterly; Roger Stone (StoneZone.com, LBJkilledJFK.com), John B. Wells (coasttocoastam.com, 11-16-13)
On the anniversary of a government assassination, author Roger Stone makes a case.

Roger Stone (tintuchangngay.org)
Mystery finally solved. Author Roger Stone combines decades of insider political knowledge with cutting edge JFK assassination research to arrive at a startling conclusion, the same conclusion the Russian KGB previously arrived at: Vice President Lyndon Baines Johnson arranged the assassination of John F. Kennedy on Nov. 22, 1963.

Coast to Coast radio co-host John B. Wells talked to Stone to lay out the case that future-president Lyndon B. Johnson manipulated the situation in Dallas to have JFK killed. He even sent in his own gunman (Malcolm Wallace), arranging for him to be on the sixth floor of the book depository.

ANNIE HALL: Funny Alvy Singer (Woody Allen) uses the Single Bullet Theory and JFK "conspiracy" as an obsessive excuse to avoid intimacy with his first wife.

In his book The Man Who Killed Kennedy, Stone describes LBJ as an amoral psycho who was coarse, corrupt, ruthless, greedy, dishonest, crude, and vicious. He was being indicted on the same day as the assassination and would have been formally charged and potentially imprisoned had he not ascended to the presidency that fateful day.

LBJ routinely abused people and was known to conduct meetings from the toilet to humiliate his Ivy League staffers, which he inherited from JFK. According to Stone, LBJ can be tied to at least eight murders, including one to cover-up the voter fraud that led to his first election victory.

Chaotic scene that once terrorized a nation as badly as 9/11 footage haunts citizens now

LBJ: for banks, war profits, revenge...
JFK's brother Robert Kennedy hated LBJ and did not want him on the presidential ticket with his brother, Stone explains, adding that JFK had already selected and asked Stuart Symington to be his running mate.

But LBJ visited JFK late one night to blackmail him threatening to release a dossier on his sexual exploits (given to him by his neighbor FBI head J. Edgar Hoover) if he did not put him on the ticket, Stone reveals.

Stone further connects LBJ to numerous criminals and nefarious dealings that were sure to eventually land him in jail. "The only way for him to stay out of prison was to become president himself," Stone says.

advisor and self-proclaimed "GOP Hitman" Roger Stone about his book

Oswald's girlfriend Judyth Vary Baker explains why
LBJ used his political power to hide secret CIA programs in the aerospace budget, control military contracts, get Mob (Mafia) payoffs to protect illegal gambling operations in Texas, and look out for large oil interests in his home state, Stone explained. LBJ basically had a unique relationship with every party involved in the plot to kill JFK.

According to Stone, LBJ vacationed with mob boss Carlos Marcello at a resort owned by Texas oil man Clint Murchison, Sr., who hated JFK because he was trying to repeal a giant tax giveaway known as the Oil Depletion Allowance. One of the triggermen was LBJ's right hand man.

Stone also points out that US Ambassador Joseph Kennedy, JFK's father and a former gangster, had blackmailed mob bosses Carlos Marcello, Santo Trafficante, and others for money and support of his son in the election, threatening that if they did not help they would face deportation.

Baker lives in constant fear of assassination
But LBJ is the linchpin of the plot to kill JFK: He controlled Dallas and urged JFK go there and to take the exact route he took, which violated Secret Service safety protocols, in that a 120 degree turn was involved. Texas governor and LBJ protégé John Connally nevertheless insisted JFK go through Dealey Plaza.

Stone believes that there were multiple shooters used that day, including one on the grassy knoll, as JFK was shot from the front and back. He credits Malcolm "Mac" Wallace, a Marine marksman LBJ used to kill several people, with shooting JFK from the sixth floor of the Texas School Book Depository. His fingerprint was recovered from his sniper's nest.

The fingerprint evidence and an eyewitness place Wallace at the scene of the crime, Stone explains, adding that patsy Lee Harvey Oswald's prints were planted there. The gun Oswald is said to have used could not possibly have been used in the commission of this act due to its limitations, the time it takes to fire off two consecutive shots, and Oswald's marksmanship.

It has been proven that the Marines' best marksman could not make the shot today with such a weapon nor cock and fire off as many shots as Oswald is said to have discharged. All of this is detailed and documented in Stone's book The Man Who Killed Kennedy: The Case Against LBJ.
