Is Republican Gov. Rick Perry GAY?

Pat Macpherson, CC Liu, Wisdom Quarterly; D. Feldman (davidfeldmanshow.com/KPFK)
"Ask Mister Republican Man" (Tom Tommorrow/thismodernworld.com)

Rick Perry Gay
Looking for the mayo, governor?
Rick Perry, the longest serving governor in Texas history, is eying another presidential campaign through his new Warby Parker glasses that make him look even gayer than he sounds.

Rumors about Republican Gov. Perry and his personal chef have hung around the governor’s collar for years like the proverbial pearl necklace.

rick perry gay
Don't judge a book by its gay cover.
You’d have to be blind not to see that Perry has been resisting homosexual urges since his youth. Maybe he hasn’t acted upon them; maybe he’s strong enough to resist.

Maybe that’s why last week Rick Perry compared homosexuality to alcoholism.

Maybe Rick Perry sees homosexuality as something to be battled one day at a time, like the urge to suck down a bottle of Jim Beam or just some guy named Jim.

Rick Perry Gay
Be gay if you like, but don't be a hypocrite.
Perry’s comments about homosexuality are lethal. When young, impressionable men hear a governor talk about homosexuality as a choice, as an illness that can be "cured," he is giving bullies license to pick on young gays who often end up committing suicide.

Neither party is any kind of real alternative
While Perry’s predecessor George W. Bush was a white knuckle drunk, Perry is a red knuckle homosexual. Red knuckle homosexual because of all the blood on his hands from the gay men who get beaten up or kill themselves because of his vicious words cloaked in false scripture. More on this later, but let me assure you Jesus despises Rick Perry. More

Cartoon violence, "The Other F Word" (video)

Pat Macpherson, Pfc. Sandoval, Seth Auberon, Seven, Wisdom Quarterly; The Other F
A mighty devil (mara) says to a lesser demon (rakshasa, asura, or yaksha): "For all this talk of innate Buddha-nature, business is still humming right along." (buddhisthumor.org)

Go to your room, Lisa. Feelin' lucky, punk?
(FOX, Rated X for extreme) Cartoons precede our feature presentation. Isn't it funny living in a society that thinks nothing of showing violence on TV, but slip in some side boob? Oh 'ell no, the U.S. will not stand for it! "Think of the children!" Marge Simpson and a million MADD busybodies are heard to say. Then you become a father and, suddenly, hypocrisy sets in. Not my daughter's cleavage! Not my wife's amateur movie appearance. Have a son. Maybe he'll be partially gay, and will the same worries apply? Maybe. Maybe a whole set of new ones.

You're a good monkey. Stay out of Chris' closet.
"Men love porn," Quagmire and a million S.A.D. lazybodies are overheard to whisper. We need a spurt of dopamine, androgens, epinephrine, and maybe even a drop of oxytocin. Self soothing. Women can worry. Men can choke something. Look at that "Brass Monkey," the Buddhist band the Beastie Boys likes to say. He's a funky monkey. Sooner or later, punk rock boys become punk rock dads and discover the meaning of the other F word:

The Simpsons (Matt Groening) meet Family Guy (Seth Macfarlane); Gustavo Macana (mash up)

"The Other F Word"
A movie of quotable quotes: "A little ANARCHY can be a life-changing experience"

"The Other F Word" is a doc directed by Andrea Blaugrund Nevins, executive produced by Morgan Spurlock of "Supersize Me" fame (Rolling Stone). The film explores the world of punk musicians getting older and becoming parents. How can they maintain the contrast between an anti-authoritarian ethos and the responsibilities of F?

Other F-word? Fatherhood
It features interviews with more than 20 dads running the gamut of "punk" styles from Mark Hoppus of Blink 182 to Fat Mike of NOFX. It also includes professional skater Tony Hawk, who was part of a related subculture. Punks like skateboards. Other fathers featured: Jim Lindberg (Pennywise), Tony Adolescent (The Adolescents), Art Alexakis (Everclear), Rob Chaos (Total Chaos), Joe Escalante (The Vandals), Josh Freese (session drummer), Flea (Red Hot Chili Peppers), Lars Frederiksen (Rancid), Matt Freeman (Operation Ivy), Jack Grisham (TSOL), Brett Gurewitz (Bad Religion), Greg Hetson (Circle Jerks), Mike McDermott (Bouncing Souls), Tim McIlrath (Rise Against), Mark Mothersbaugh (Devo), Duane Peters (U.S. Bombs), Joe Sib, Ron Chavo Reyes (Black Flag), and Rick Thorne (BMX biker). Additional music by FEAR, Dead Kennedys, Against Me!, Good Guys in Black, and the Black Pacific.

D'oh, I'll rip your head off and spit down your neck! - I'll tear ya limb from limb, fat chicken!

What child molesters look like (photos)

Jackson family child rapists and sex abusers (Perquimans County Sheriff's Office)

Not a "victim," Grace McDonnell
The sheriff of a small American county in northeast North Carolina says he is "disgusted." Why?

He is disgusted by the parents of six men who are accused of sexually abusing their sister for nearly a decade, at a private family compound.

"I blame the parents for this," Perquimans County Sheriff Eric Tilley told The Huffington Post on Tuesday.

Prison guard/sexual predators arrested
"It's your responsibility as a parent to teach [your children] right and wrong. When you see a child doing something that is totally wrong and you don't correct them, then the child thinks it's okay."
  • [Are they Christians? Not "good Christians," of course. But, yes, they are all Christians, patriarchal Protestants. FEMEN says no to patriarchy.
"Silent all these years" (rainn.org)
Tilley said his deputies charged the six brothers, ranging in age from 19 to 27, on May 6 [2014], with a number of crimes related to the alleged sexual abuse of their 16-year-old sister [which means she is still a child].

The sheriff said the alleged abuse began when the girl was 4 years old and continued [for a decade] until she was almost 15.

Authorities have identified the brothers as Aaron Jackson, 19, Benjamin Jackson, also 19, Nathaniel Jackson, 21, Mathew Jackson, 23, Jon Jackson, 25, and Eric Jackson, 27.

I raped Justin Bieber. He was asking for it?
Charges against the brothers range from rape to sexual assault, according to Tilley.

The men's parents -- John Jackson, 65 and Nita Jackson, 54 -- face charges of felony child abuse.

"Part of the investigation revealed that, at one point, the mother observed some of this activity and never did anything about it," Tilley said of the charges against the parents. More

US/Israel aching for war on Republic of Iran
TEHRANGELES, California - Western imperial capitalist corruption has arrived in beautiful Islamic Iran with, of course, a Facebook page. Thank you, FBI. Sure, we like it and think it's "beautiful" and "liberating." But we're raised on imperial corruption. We would likely feel this was a tragedy if we were living in a happily modest country on the verge of being attacked by Israel and its Western allies, most notably the warlords of the CIA and Pentagon. (We already half-ruined the country along with England when we deposed one leader and installed another favorable to our exploits). There are more Iranians than Jews in America, most of them in L.A., but one would never know it by exposure to the mainstream media.

"Stealthy Freedoms of Iranian Women" was set up 10 days ago and has since attracted thousands of photos.

Thousands of Iranian [Persian, Ariyan] women are taking off their veils and publishing pictures of themselves online, igniting a debate about the freedom to wear or not wear the hijab [the mandatory headscarf demanded by ultraconservative, puritanical Wahabbi Islam, a fundamentalist and extremist faction sponsored by the U.S. and its tentacles].
A Facebook page set up by London-based Iranian journalist Masih Alinejad 10 days ago has attracted more than 130,000 likes, with women across Iran sending unveiled pictures taken in parks, at the seaside and in the streets.

"My stealthy freedom while driving in the streets of Tehran," wrote Maryam alongside an image showing her behind the wheel. "I like to feel the wind blowing on my face."
  • Alinejad is not opposed to the hijab -- her mother is veiled -- but she believes we should have the freedom to choose.
Iranian beauties in L.A. (kcet.org)
Another post showed a mother with her daughter. "The beautiful seaside in Kish [Island]," the younger woman wrote. "We strolled on the rocks and experienced the cool breeze flowing through our hair. Is this a big request?"

A young woman from the city of Fuman, in the northern province of Gilan, sent a picture of her in the woods. "I took this picture stealthily in the spring," she wrote. "It makes me feel happy." Another young woman was pictured unveiled just next to a big billboard in Tehran' Yas sports complex asking women to respect the Islamic hijab.

Alinejad told The Guardian she had been bombarded with messages and pictures since launching Stealthy Freedoms of Iranian Women. "I've hardly slept in the past three days because of the number of pictures and messages I've received." More

The N.W.O. wants a new world order, which means invading Iran. It's amazing. Look at a map: Iran is squeezed between Iraq and Afghanistan and therefore of strategic importance.

"Inequality for All" especially girls! (video)

Ashley Wells, Pat Macpherson, Wisdom Quarterly; Prof. Robert Reich, UC Berkeley; Kathryn Joyce, Amy Goodman (democracynow.org, May 8, 2014)

Ah, don't touch me! You're a girl!
Is the Protestant world teetering on the edge of a sex-abuse scandal similar to the one rocking the Catholic Church? Reporter Kathryn Joyce, whose cover story in The American Prospect profiles Boz Tchividjian, a law professor at Liberty University -- a school founded by Rev. Jerry Falwell -- and former prosecutor who worked on many sexual abuse cases. Prof. Tchividjian used his experience to found GRACE -- Godly Response to Abuse in the Christian Environment. GRACEmade headlines in February when a famous evangelical school, Bob Jones University, hired it to interview faculty and students about their experiences with sexual assault, then fired it before the it had a chance to report the results -- only to hire it back after a public outcry. Prof. Tchividjian happens to be the grandson of the famous evangelist Rev. Billy Graham. More

Singing Birds and Stinging Bees: SEX slavery

There are singing birds and stinging bees. Sex slavery = domestic human sex trafficking (EB)
.
It is doubtful that all people will understand. Wisdom Quarterly is sex-positive, that is, we believe in sex.

We are opposed to sexual misconduct, sex slavery, human trafficking, forced prostitution, and harming (himsa) in all its forms. Yet, we remain sex-positive. People generally paint things in black and white; it is our Judeo-Christian legacy.

FEMEN fights patriarchy and sexism
When I was raised I was taught I was a born sinner with depraved tendencies utterly incapable of behaving. Then I was told to "behave," to be "good," and more ludicrously to "smile." So every impulse proved the raisers (beyond parents these included uniformed authorities, in loco parentis school officials, relatives, and "go along to get along" neighbors) were right.  There was no Kalama Sutra then. I was no better than Alanis Morissette trying to swallow a Jagged Little Pill:

"You know how us Catholic girls can be./Hey, hey!/ We make up for so much time a little too late./ I never forgot it, confusing as it was,/ No fun with no guilt feelings,/ The sinners, the saviors, the loverless priests!/ I'll see you next Sunday.// CHORUS: We all had our reasons to be there!/ We all had a thing or two to learn!/ We all needed something to cling to,/ So we did!// I sang Alleluia in the choir./Oh, hallelu, hallelu, hallelu-yah!/ I confessed my darkest deeds to an envious man./ My brothers they never "went blind" for what they did,/ But I may as well have!/ In the name of the Father, the Skeptic, and the Son,/ I had one more stupid question./ CHORUS/ What I learned I rejected, but I believe again!/ I will suffer the consequence of this Inquisition!/ If I jump in this [holy water] fountain, will I be forgiven?/ We all had our reasons to be there./ We all had a thing or two to learn./ We all needed something to cling to,/ So we did. We all had delusions in our head./ We all had our minds made up for us!/ We had to believe in something,/ So we did.

Hey, sailors (dongye.cc)
Sex is all bad. No, sex is all right. No, sex is a sin. Yes, it's all bad and bad is good, it's hot. The morass and mire of confusion never ends. We're raised to have this confusion and be exploited by by it. Look how prissy we are...and how sexy. Look how hypocritical we feel...and how pathetic we are.

Follow the supreme-way-of-living (spiritual celibacy of the brahmacarya with intensive meditation) or be tolerant, inclusive, and kind. Or maybe just shut up and listen. SWAAY once had everyone in L.A. upset about its billboards:

Sex Worker Billboards to Decriminalize Prostitution Roaming Streets of L.A.

'SEX AND ZEN'
"Sex and Zen"
We might call them victims or exploited, but a pro-sex-worker group founded in L.A. wants us to know pros are in control of their own bodies.

And it's doing so with mobile billboards that are being driven around town this week. The group, SWAAY (Sex Work Activists, Allies, and You), went mobile after claiming that every billboard company in town turned it down. Here's what the ads say:

Banned (rejected) billboards of L.A.
"Sex worker: a person who consensually exchanges his/her own sexual labor or sexual performance for compensation. Sex work is not the same as forced sex trafficking or sex slavery." Got that, Ashton Kutcher? SWAAY, which wants to decriminalize prostitution, is fuming over the rejection by L.A.'s major outdoor advertisers... More

Student doing porn to pay tuition ('n luvin it)?

Editors, Wisdom Quarterly; Piers Morgan Show (CNN US-version controlled by CIA) UPDATED
I love it, Piers, I just love it, and I got to pick my own name, "Belle Knox," after a cartoon character and an American killer from Italy who's like totally innocent!
Don't judge me. I'm (in)famous, and isn't that all that really matters in what sex therapist, addiction medicine specialist, and radio/TV host Dr. Drew calls the new Age of Narcissism?

Porn-prostitution: new tricks in an old trade
Who you tryin to look at, man?
(March 6, 2014) Duke University student tells Piers Morgan: My porn career is "freeing." The British born Morgan -- soon to be fired host of In The Piers Morgan Show -- talks to pornography actress (but not yet porn "star") "Belle Knox" about her career, women's empowerment [to degrade us all for money], social norms, and society's scorn. More (plus video)

Piers, do you think maybe I'm making a big mistake I'll regret after I graduate from Duke and can't get a job doing anything else because I'm totally typecast, or will I still love it?

Oddly, Hypocrisy is rooted in High Morals
Good or hypocritical?
Morally upstanding people are the do-gooders of society, right? Actually, a new study finds that a sense of moral superiority can lead to unethical acts, such as cheating. In fact, some of the best do-gooders can become the worst cheats.

Stop us if this sounds familiar.

When asked to describe themselves, most people typically will rattle off a list of physical features and activities (for example, "I do yoga" or "I'm a paralegal"). But some people have what scientists call a moral identity, in which the answer to the question would include phrases like "I am honest" and "I am a caring person."

Shame, you want me to be ashamed? (Mai)
Past research has suggested that people who describe themselves with words such as honest and generous are also more likely to engage in volunteer work and other socially responsible acts. But often in life, the line between right and wrong becomes blurry... More

Moral shame [conscience] and moral dread
Wisdom Quarterly (eds.); Ven. Nyanatiloka (COMMENTARY)
"Moral shame and moral dread" are associated with all karmically wholesome consciousness (see Table II). "To be ashamed [or circumspect, conscientious, mindful] of what one ought to be abashed or hesitant about -- ashamed of performing harmful and unwholesome actions (akusala karma): this is called "moral shame" (hiri).

Mara's three daughters tempt Siddhartha*
To be in dread of [averse to, afraid of, put off by] what one ought to be in dread of -- dread of performing harmful and unwholesome deeds (karma): this is called moral dread" (Puggalapaññatti , 79, 80).

"Two lucid things, O meditators, protect the world -- moral shame and moral dread. If these two things were not to protect the world then one would respect neither one's mother, nor one's mother's sister, nor one's brother's wife, nor one's teacher's wife...." (AN II, 7). Compare with "lack of moral shame and dread" (ahirika). See Atthasālini Tr. I. pp. 164ff.
