"Net Neutrality" going down the drain (video)

Net: it's a utility, the "People's Platform," not a portable TV for corporate media (occupy)

Not until a fair accounting of votes does anything happen in a democracy. (It sure would be nice to live in a democracy). All those who say otherwise are stirring up anarchy. Destroy the deviants, troublemakers, and perverts! Corporate profits depend on it. That should keep the police state busy. In the meantime, what about our Internet?

The FCC (Federal Communications Commission) is voting today on new rules that may effectively abandon "Net neutrality," the concept of a free and open Internet. (Watch this).

(CGP Grey/cgpgrey.com) Let's tell the FCC to reclassify broadband Internet as a public utility, a Title II common carrier telecommunications service. (Discuss). Music: Broke for Free.

The FCC proposal would let Internet providers charge corporate media companies extra fees to receive preferential treatment, such as faster speeds for their products and content.

Under previous regulations struck down earlier this year, providers were forced to provide ALL content at equal speeds, including Wisdom Quarterly, Democracy Now!, Occupy.com, FEMEN, CodePink, and other outlets.

The encampment begins with activists from popularresistance.org and Fight for the Future

Just steps from the vote, demonstrators have set up an "Occupy the FCC" (occupythefcc.com) encampment calling for federal regulators to reclassify broadband service as a public utility.

"Trust me; I'm a banker!"
This will allow for the requirement of "Net neutrality" rules.

The CEOs of 28 U.S. broadband providers and trade groups told their FCC not to classify broadband as a utility, explaining that regulating broadband would "impose great costs [to our private corporations], allowing unprecedented government micromanagement of all aspects of the Internet economy."

Save the Internet (freepress.net)
This debate on Net neutrality features guests Timothy Karr of the media reform group Free Press, who want corporations to be regulated for the good of everyone who uses the Net, and Joshua Steimle, a tech entrepreneur who argues that the government should not be entrusted with regulating the Internet. A Human-DEVA speaks (video)

Dev, Kalyani, Amber Larson, Dhr. Seven, Wisdom Quarterly; devi "crystal child" Jessica Schab via Bill Ryan, Kerry Cassidy (support@projectcamelot.org, Project Camelot, Dec. 2008)
(ProjectCamelot.org) "A Crystal Child Speaks Out," Sedona, Arizona, 2008. Wisdom Quarterly contacts many Earth "devas" or deva-like beings like this.

The akasha-deva Semjase
Project Camelot (PC) met Jessica Schab at the NEXUS Conference in Australia in October 2008. She was in tears at the end of PC presentation and said that she had to talk. A young Australian had seen her YouTube post and sponsored her trip from Vancouver, B.C. to Brisbane, Australia.

Realizing that it might be interesting and valuable to many, PC interviewed her as a "crystal child," a witness representing a new and very awakened generation. Like others (indigo children, starseeds, etc.) she is well informed, deeply concerned about world events, and very aware of the need for humankind to grow spiritually in order to transcend the problems we face together.

Lilou Mace follows up with Jessica Schab in 2011

Lilou Mace's Juicy Living Tour goes to Toronto, Canada in August 2011 and talks to Schab. "Soul archeology" is going inside to find our beautiful treasures of truth to live off of the abundance of our joy (like the luminous beings in the Ābhassara deva worlds, described by the Buddha, who feed on delight). We do what we love and live free because truth-wealth frees us. Even as the world is full of suffering, it is also full of overcoming. If we tell the truth, we don't have to remember anything. We have immortal longings. (She interviewed and posted her talk with government time traveler Andrew Basiago, future US president, prior to his first appearance on Coast to Coast. See below).

Earth-deva Jessica Schab, (JessicaMystic.com)
In this 50-minute video, she speaks openly and emotionally about her personal journey, her family, and some of the bewildering other-dimensional, extraterrestrial encounters she has experienced.

Her weaknesses are her dyslexia and that she has not yet fully integrated her many experiences and perceptions.

Human-deva Jessica Schab, crystal child
Her strengths are her openness and her determination to bring a message of unity to those who can hear it from her. She sees herself as a newly arrived teacher and messenger.

Like most of us she still has a long way to go in her journey, with much to learn. But this is why most of us are here. Many of us choose to help one others as best we can.

Sex, Intimacy, and Communication on the Buddhist Path
Don't stare at my chest; it's censored!
A unique series will explore what the Buddha taught as principles for lay practitioners regarding relationships and sexuality. The format will include meditation, Dharma talks, and open discussions.

Facilitator JoAnna Harper will also leap forward 2,600 years to a growing population of non-monastic Buddhist practitioners living life in the world of sensuality, desire, and intimate sexual relationships. Relatively little is found on these topics in Buddhism.

Sex on the brain (GM)
But this class series is a beautiful opportunity to discover our own relationship to these sensitive topics on how to live life fully while causing less distress to ourselves and others around us.

This four-week series covers the third precept -- not causing harm with our sexuality, renouncing clinging through voluntary celibacy, how a strong mindfulness practice can open us to greater intimacy with others and deepen our communication skills.
  • Four-Week Series with JoAnna Harper
  • Mondays starting Oct. 7, 7:30-9:00 pm
  • Against the Stream, Melrose
COST: $20 per evening, plus dana for the teacher. $10 discount if paid in advance. Scholarships and work study are available and no one will be turned away for lack of funds. INFO/REGISTER
