Light will soon create matter: science

Pat Macpherson, Seth Auberon, Wisdom Quarterly; TheGuardian.com
NSA reform: lawmakers aim to bar U.S. spying agency from weakening encryption

Prism. Prism? Prism! Light refracts, just as all the colors of white light contain a rainbow array of information. The NSA wants it all, which means no privacy for anyone in the world. Science will be like that within a year, some scientists claim. Light will soon be converted into matter. Who will stop them? Moreover, who will stop or slow down the National "Security" Agency, the NSA, one U.S. branch of America's spying apparatus. Even if Oversight Committee Chair Feinstein keeps her love spat with the CIA going, nothing much is being done here. Other countries will have to stand up.

Matter will be created from light within a year, scientists claim
Everyone should know just how much the government lied to defend the NSA

The Mist Trail in California's Yosemite National Park takes hikers upstream along the Merced River's tumble east toward the valley. The walk winds forward and back past several beautiful waterfalls, culminating at the top of the most impressive one of all, Nevada Falls.

This is the view from as close as one could get to the top of the falls without getting arrested. It shows the view down into Yosemite Valley and the path along which one walks to get to this awesome view.

(AskFaeries.com) Here is a video about how I came to SEE faeries (Buddhist devas) after seeing a film about them. I came to know, love, and communicate with these beings of light. I get a lot from interacting with them. I wrote a book. You can ask a question. - F.J.M.

Wisdom: Befriending Faeries
Shooting with an ultrawide lens makes things look farther away, so the sound from this spot was a frightening roar of the water cascading over the edge a few feet away. In fact, we had to lean forward (carefully) so that lens did not include dusty shoes in the photo.

This image is a composition of two horizontal frames shot in landscape -- one frame pointing 45 degrees down, the other pointing straight toward the horizon. Each of the frames is composed of three separate photos taken at different exposure settings to capture the large variations in brightness (shooting into the sun).

Going from Light to Darkness (sutra)

Amber Larson, Dhr. Seven, CC Liu, Wisdom Quarterly translation based on Ven. Thanissaro, Abbot Wat Metta (accesstoinsight.org, Tamonata Sutra: Darkness, AN 4.85)
[The Buddha taught:] "There are four kinds of people in the world. What four?
  1. "One is in darkness headed for darkness,
  2. one is in darkness headed for light,
  3. one is in light headed for darkness,
  4. one is in light headed for light.
"How is one in darkness and headed for darkness? In this case some person is born into a lowly family -- the family of a scavenger, a hunter, a basket-weaver, a wheelwright, or a sweeper -- a poor family with little to eat and drink, living in hardship, where food and clothing are hard to come by. Moreover, one is unsightly, misshapen, stunted, sickly: half-blind or deformed or lame or crippled. One does not receive any [offerings or gifts of] food, drink, clothing, or vehicles, garlands, perfumes, or creams, bedding, shelter, or lights.

"[Therefore,] one engages in bodily misconduct, verbal misconduct, and mental misconduct. Having engaged in such misconduct, one -- on the dissolution of the body after death -- reappears in a plane of deprivation, an unfortunate destination, a lower realm of rebirth, even in the hells. This person is in darkness headed for darkness.

"And how is one in darkness but headed for light? In this case a person is born into a lowly (lower class or outcaste) family -- the family of a scavenger, a hunter... One is unsightly... One does not receive any [offerings or gifts of] food, drink, clothing, or vehicles... [Yet] one engages in skillful bodily conduct, skillful verbal conduct, and skillful mental conduct. Having engaged in such conduct, one -- on the dissolution of the body after death -- reappears in a fortunate destination [such as the human world], even in a heavenly world. This is a person in darkness but headed for light.

I look nice, but I'm a well born, right-wing maniac pushing for more oppressive rule in Israel.

"And how is one in light but headed for darkness? In this case one is born into a well off family -- a royal (ruling) family, a Brahmin priest (intellectual) family, a prosperous householder (merchant) family -- a family that is rich, with wealth, with many possessions, with a great deal of money, a great many spoils of wealth, a great many commodities to trade. Moreover, one is beautiful, well built, extremely attractive, endowed with a lotus-like complexion. One receives [offerings or gifts of] food, drink, clothing, and vehicles, garlands, perfumes, and creams, bedding, shelter, and light. [Yet,] one engages in bodily misconduct, verbal misconduct, and mental misconduct. Having engaged in such misconduct, one -- on the dissolution of the body after death -- reappears in a world of deprivation, in an unfortunate destination, in a lower [subhuman] realm, even in the hells. This is a person in light but headed for darkness.

"These are the four kinds of people found in the world."

Supernatural Iceland (video)

"Elves, Ghosts, Sea Monsters, and ETs in Iceland -- Investigation into the Invisible World"

Nagas, devas, dragons, and fairies (M9)
"Enquête Sur le Monde Invisible" is a documentary by French director Jean-Michel Roux. In Icelandic towns like Hafnarfjörður and Reykjavik, a large percentage of the population believe in devas (subtle unseen beings), elves, ghosts of the dearly departed, and other paranormal entities. In fact, many claim to have seen and interacted with them. And some even claim to engage in frequent contact with them. This rare documentary is the first outside look at the strange but seemingly common events that take place on this small and remote island country. Note the similarity with mysterious island nation Ireland and its wee people and extraterrestrials. Irish slaves, in fact, were brought to Iceland.

Nirvana in a Himalayan meditation hut

Blue-eyed Buddha, Thikse Gompa
Suddenly by the fireplace, the light dawned. And I understood: Everything that is of a nature to arise is of a nature to pass away!

Regarding ALL phenomena it may be said, "Not having been, they come to be; once having been, they cease."

In the ceasing, because they cease, how could these things be considered a permanent self? How could these things produce permanent satisfaction?

So fully letting go, things were known just as they are -- reality was seen just as it is -- and nirvana was glimpsed. Such a thing is good to see! Then there was no doubt whatsoever.

Entangled in Darkness, Seeking the Light

Dhr. Seven and CC Liu, Wisdom Quarterly; Deborah King
Deborah King is a friend of Wisdom Quarterly and was once a regular feature with her online Hay House radio show and frequent appearances around the country.

She has just come out with a new book Entangled in Darkness, Seeking the Light and was recently interviewed by GAIAM TV's Lisa Garr, hostess of Pacifica Radio's Los Angeles affiliate, KPFK FM, on TheAwareShow.com).

Deborah King
Master healer and urban shaman, [and sexual abuse survivor], Deborah King (DeborahKingCenter.com),  was a successful attorney in her 20s when a diagnosis of cancer sent her on a search for truth.

It radically changed her life. Unwilling to undergo invasive (and harmful) surgery, she turned to alternative medicine. She had an amazing remission at the hands of a healer. Leaving the corporate arena for the mysterious world of healers, sages, and shamans, King mastered ancient and modern healing systems, ultimately developing a powerful healing technique of her own.

Her latest book, Entangled in Darkness: Seeking the Light, explores the purpose of the age-old battle between light and dark that is waged within us.

INTERVIEW (9-12-13) The Aware Show’s special guest this week is spiritual teacher, health-and-wellness expert, and New York Times best-selling author Dr. Deborah King. Take an excursion into the inner sanctum of the "soul," our deepest sense of self, to help us understand why we are here.

What is the purpose of the age-old battle between light and dark? It is being waged within us all. She will help deepen our insight into how and why we might be entangled in darkness and provide us with practical tools to infuse our lives with light. King talks about techniques to clear negative energies, dark entities, cordings, and intentional and unintentional attacks. More
