LOS ANGELES, California - Hundreds of protesters gathered in downtown Los Angeles yesterday [Sunday, Aug. 17, 2014] to vent their anger at police shooting to of death unarmed black man Ezell Ford, who was killed by police in South LA on Monday night. 
 
Carrying signs and chanting "We are all Ezell," the crowd stopped at the LA Police Department's headquarters, where several protesters spoke. Marchers then continued to Union Station and La Placita, through Little Tokyo into Chinatown, then back to City Hall [in the vicinity of the Occupy Movement's violently evicted encampment].
 
"I think there continues to be a dehumanization of black and brown people in this country," said Susanna Parras, 31, a public school social worker from South LA.
 
Many people carried signs with the names of both Ezell Ford and Michael Brown, the 18-year-old African American teen shot by police in Ferguson, Missouri. "I'm here to support the right of black and brown folks to live with peace and dignity," said Alex Villapando, 31, of South LA.

Ford, 25, was shot by members of LAPD's Gang Enforcement Detail Monday evening after he reportedly tackled officers and reached for one of their guns. Family members say Ezell was known to have mental problems and question why he was stopped in the first place.

But many people were suspicious of the department's version of events. [Eyewitnesses saw no struggle, just an execution. The reason police execute victims is so there were ill be no story to counter their version of events: "No person, no problem." In this way they are able to "justify" their acts by collectively inventing stories that would legally justify their actions. This crime by officers is a separate felony called "conspiracy" and suggests premeditation, which means police are "murdering" victims not inadvertently shooting them during arrest.]
  • [Reports are that police took a mentally ill black man playing basketball alone in the park into their custody, dragged him into the public restroom, and proceeded to beat him severely for no reason better than the joy of beating someone who could do nothing about it. This may be the Ford case or another recently reported in LA County. Protesters are upset about all such recent and long-running abuses.] 
Police are stuck in the mire of murdering us.
Too many black men have been shot and killed by police, said Andrew Nance, 38, of Mid-Wilshire. "I'm out here because I have an 8-year-old daughter," he said. "I think she has the right to know her father throughout her life, without fear that he may be get mowed down in the streets by the people who are sworn to protect."

Police gave the crowd a good deal of room to move, allowing them to march in the middle of the street in some areas. An LAPD spokesperson said this was done deliberately to keep things calm and because the streets were less crowded on a Sunday.

"I think the LAPD has learned, maybe, how to relate to the public. They're not trying instigate something like Ferguson," Alex Villapando explained.​
 
Sunday night's rally in LA echoed protests taking place around the U.S. following the murder by police of Michael Brown, who was killed by police last week in Ferguson Missouri -- where officials are actively attempting to cover up and disseminate information to mar victim Brown's character and muddy the water even as a private autopsy has just revealed that the teen was shot at least six times, twice in the head -- prompting rallies that have turned violent in recent days.
 
On Saturday, Missouri's governor declared a state of emergency and placed a midnight curfew on the St. Louis suburb. More

Actress Charlize Theron gang-RAPED (video)

Was the gang-rape victim "asking for it"? Or has an intrusive press violated actor Charlize Theron in the worst way as she tries to live a quiet life of obscurity? (hdwallpapers.in)

You know how they say Gwyneth Paltrow is a real jerk? She's a self-absorbed elitist parent trying to outdo all of us, and a wife who never has to face divorce like the rest of us because she "consciously uncouples" instead? (lol) Well, we like her, Goop and all. She got in trouble recently for a bit of hyperbole comparing her life with Internet trolls to "war." Mrs. John McCain got bent out of shape. Anything to hate on a skinny, holier-than-thou Hollywood starlet. 

Oh, Gwyn, you know who's a real gem? Charlize Theron. If Paltrow has gone off the deep end of insensitivity by comparing her life to combat, Theron takes the cake by claiming she is being "raped." By high-caste Indian men with police help? No, it's that intrusive "gotcha" press bumbling Sarah Palin warned us about. Theron compares pushy reporters to rapists. Paltrow is relieved the attention has turned to Madonna's ex (Sean Penn)'s newest girlfriend.

This is much more important an issue than which celebrity said what. It's their job to distract us by calling attention to themselves. What's Justin Bieber up to? He's on tape saying the N word. WTR? Have his ratings gone up? It's all about the ratings in showbiz. It's important because the horror that is the gang rape and murder of two Shakya/Dalit caste girls in India isn't getting the traction and outrage the rape of a young, middle class woman on a New Delhi bus did in 2012. Why? 
 
That was a middle class, high woman, so the rapists went too far. If they want to rape low caste girls and kill them, well, that's apparently more understandable. And middle class Indian women living in the city aren't going to get too bent out of shape and get out in the streets to protest. But eave tease (sexually harass) another worker with Internet access and a toilet, and that they will picket about.
 
Where is our outrage when things happen to our social-inferiors? Because when it's our perceived social-superiors, it's game on! We must have justice! Policeman beats and kills someone, who cares. Someone beats and kills a policeman, stop the city, declare martial law, institute a curfew for everyone, that "savage" must be corralled, captured, and decapitated like an animal. The policeman we can acquit for doing the best he could in a tough job we don't want to do. What a society, what a world to live in.

South African-born ["all-American," Hollywood] actress Charlize Theron has waded into controversy for a recent interview in which she compared intrusive press coverage to rape.
 
Theron told the U.K.’s Sky News that “every aspect” of her life has become fodder for the tabloids:
 
“I don’t (Google myself) -- that’s my saving grace,” she said. “When you start living in that world, and doing that, you start feeling raped.”
  • The perpetrator was not one medium but the media, which is plural. It constitutes a "gang"; if she feels raped, it was by a group of celebrity-crazed individuals.
Asked if she meant to use such strong language, the actress said: “Well, when it comes to your son and your private life -- maybe it’s just me.
 
“Some people might relish in all that stuff, but there are certain things in my life that I think of as very sacred and I am very protective over them,” she told Sky News.
 
“I don’t always win that war, but as long as I don’t have to see that stuff or read that stuff or hear that stuff then I can live with my head in a clear space, which is probably a lot healthier than living in that dark room.”
 
“I can’t be concerned about what some idiot is going to write online about my short skirt; I can only take responsibility for myself,” she added.

Recently in UP, India two girls were gang raped, murdered, and lynched with their own scarves. Why? They were the wrong caste, making it tacitly permissible to mistreat, abuse, and "punish" them as if they were low socioeconomic-status individuals in America. The New Delhi and Mumbai gang rapes caused much more media attention and public outrage. Reaction to this double murder and flagrant sexual assault -- which a police officer participated in -- is dying down. The Dalit caste have no functional rights, even if they have nominal ones. To get rights many Dalits are converting to Buddhism, which does not please the nationalist Hindu majority.

But this is a global problem beyond India. The problem is patriarchy, endemic sexism, poverty, and capitalism, and our colonized minds. Santa Barbara murder spree, rampant child sexual trafficking in the U.S., Boko Haram kidnappings, the "honor killing"/public bludgeoning in front of police of a young woman outside the Lahore high court in Pakistan for disobeying her parents and marrying the man she wanted to, U.S. college campus assaults and cover ups... all tie in. Free CASH money in Los Angeles

So that's what it's all about, eh Mitts?
Isn't money the goal of American life, cash-money?

We do everything we do for the sake of it. I'm "spiritual" to be famous to make money. I meditate to get spiritual to be famous to make money. I study to meditate to be spiritual to be famous to make money. Then, if I had wads of greasy cash, I could [make jokes that go too far]. And, well, know wut im sayin, y'all get the idea.

But now who needs all that? Money is falling out of the anonymous sky! Somebody's making it rain. First it was coming down over the clear blue Bay, now it's pouring into the gray haze above Tinsel Town.

UPDATE May 29, 2014: The person behind @HiddenCash has brought her/his free cash drops from breezy San Francisco south to the sleepy pueblo of Los Angeles. (See his/her Twitter feed).
 
The person behind it, reportedly a man but maybe a woman, has been leaving FREE envelopes filled with cash and tweeting clues for where people -- anyone, even YOU -- can find them. 
S/he's also been working with media outlets to get the message out, including leaving cash in the NBC Bay Area parking lot and telling Angelenos to tune into the local CBS news to get their next clue Wednesday night.

(Hope the major TV networks and media conglomerates in the Hollywood skyline highrises aren't involved, *wink*).

Why do millennials drink so much?
The clues are easy! And next I hear Willy Wonka is going to be hiding golden tickets in bottles of Duff beer for Peter Griffin to choke on for a chance to get into the Made in America festival and Under the Influence rap concert featuring Jay Z, Cypress Hill, and Wiz Khalifa! It's better than trying to call Big Boy.

LA jail scandal: 1st of 20 indicted sheriff's deputies faces trial

The first of 20 [criminal] deputies charged in a sweeping investigation into corruption and civil rights violations in L.A.'s county jails goes to trial today.
 
James Sexton is charged with obstruction of justice related to an incident involving an [L.A. Jail] inmate working as an FBI informant.
 
According to prosecutors, a group of deputies learned an inmate at Men's Central Jail, Anthony Brown, was working as an informant for the FBI. The FBI was investigating [police] corruption -- such as deputies smuggling contraband into the jails -- and civil rights violations that included deputies beating inmates.
 
Turn around, I beat your faces, m-f'ers!
[This would amount to felony assaults under color of uniform, conspiracy, gang affiliation in that Sheriff deputies have formed a criminal gang among themselves, attempted murder, witness tampering, and torture of captives, which is a "crime against humanity" in the eyes of the International Court of Justice even if condoned by American courts].

Prosecutors say when deputies learned Brown was an informant, they interviewed him, took his cell phone away, and "fudged" records to make it look like he had been released from jail.

Meanwhile, Brown was being moved from jail to jail under a false name [kidnapping, false imprisonment, conspiracy, witness tampering, falsification of records].
 
Sexton is accused of helping falsify records, keeping watch over the hidden inmate, and denying access to FBI agents who arrived at the jail to talk with Brown.

He later approached the FBI with his concerns over the episode, but nevertheless was charged as part of a larger obstruction of justice case against seven deputies allegedly involved in hiding Brown.

Sexton's defense attorneys are expected to argue that he was following orders from higher ups [criminal conspiracy], that he was unaware he was being investigated when he cooperated with the FBI, and that he did not intend to obstruct justice, as evidenced by his later cooperation with federal authorities. 

The remaining six deputies in the case are expected to go to trial when Sexton's trial concludes. LISTEN (0:51 secs)

Police state
Sheriff Lee Baca stepped down abruptly earlier this year, not to avoid charges being brought against him or anything...but, well, sort of to avoid charges. He was seen recently walking around as a free man attending the blessing for Pasadena's planned Armenian Genocide Memorial, which ironically commemorates a holocaust and torture perpetrated by Turks while he as Sheriff for term after term perpetrated crimes against humanity with impunity. He didn't know. How would a boss know? It must have been "rogue elements" under him. Yeah, that's it! The other police did it! He can't be held responsible for covering up for them...if he can prove he didn't know. Yes, sure, maybe he should have known, but if he can prove that he did not... Well, now we see why he had to leave office. If he were charged and held, a standing Sheriff would be thrown in the very jail system he runs. And what kind of justice is there in that? If he gets thrown in one he ran, well that's more acceptable to keep up the front that Los Angeles police are here to serve and protect everyone. They are here to "protect" only a very few and to "serve" banking interests and other conservatives who give them money. And taxes from citizens don't count. They just don't, so don't try to bring that up.
